Meet
Dr. Pete Gay, DC
Dr. Pete began his
journey in chiropractic while attending college at
Rutgers College of Pharmacy. For most of his life
growing up, Dr. Pete suffered from terrible allergies.
These allergies were so problematic for him that he took
various medications in order to help him deal with them.
They became such a problem that one doctor even
recommended steroid medication as a last resort.
Not willing to resort to steroid
medications, Dr. Pete sought the help of a chiropractor at the
urging of a friend. Within a few months of beginning chiropractic
care, Dr. Pete’s allergy problems were gone, and gone for good as he
eventually found out!
He was so impressed with what
chiropractic did for his health and well being, he decided that he
wanted to spend his life helping others experience optimal health
naturally through chiropractic care. He continued after his
undergraduate studies to attend New York Chiropractic College and
received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. In July of 1994, Dr.
Pete began Family Chiropractic of Kennebunk in Lower Village,
Kennebunk. In October of 2003, Family Chiropractic of Kennebunk
moved to its current location in a new state-of-the-art facility on
Route 1 (York Street) in Kennebunk.
Dr. Pete is the proud dad to two beautiful children, Alex and Julia.
He enjoys the outdoors, including surfing, kayaking and hiking. He
also currently holds a first-degree black belt in Isshin Ryu Karate,
which he practices regularly. It is
now Dr. Pete’s mission not only to serve his community with the best
chiropractic care possible, but also to empower his patients with
the chiropractic principles of healing, allowing them to live
drug-free and experience true health from within!
