"Discover How Modern Principled Chiropractic Care Can
Help You Live Life To It's Fullest Potential"

I was wrong. The germ is nothing. The terrain is everything.

Dear Friend,

Dr. Pete Gay, Kennebunk ChiropractorAs the limitations of modern medicine become more apparent, the western world is beginning to embrace natural principles of life and health. This concept is focused on the “terrain” or more simply, the body’s innate healing ability.

As our wars on germs, cancer, etc. continue to fail, we are beginning to realize that, perhaps, a more proactive and supportive approach to health and healing is needed. Mother Theresa wisely declared her preference for “pro-peace” rallies as opposed to “anti-war” demonstrations. Similarly, we need to focus less on the invaders of health and focus much more on supporting our body’s own natural healing ability.

If you doubt your body’s innate intelligence or amazing capacity to heal, just consider how you grew from two microscopic cells to a full-grown adult or how your body immediately responds to heal a wound or other affliction. Our bodies are naturally driven not only to survive, but to thrive. We just need to support this natural process.

Chiropractic is one of the most important forms of support you can offer your body. Although many people view chiropractic as limited to treating neck and back pain, this is a grave misconception. Your spine houses the world’s most sophisticated intelligence network, the nervous system, a remarkable system that relays information to billions of cells in your body.

It coordinates, heals, controls, and maintains your body’s myriad of functions, while inspiring you emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. Your nervous system is the most sophisticated system in your body. Your spine is made up of 24 vertebrae joined together by disks and cartilage. These flexible discs allow the spine to bend in all directions enabling you to tie your shoes, swing a golf club, do a pirouette, etc.

But most important of all, your spinal column is the structure that supports and protects your nervous system, which allows your brain to communicate with all the vital, organs, glands, and cells of your body. If this communication is impaired by a misaligned vertebrae (what we refer to as a subluxation) “dis-ease” in the body occurs. Although chiropractic can certainly be effective for the treatment of back and neck pain, our primary goal is to remove nerve interference, restoring your body’s own innate healing ability.

"I desired to know why one person was ailing and his associate, eating at the same table, working in the same shop...was not. Why? What difference was there in the two persons that caused one to have disease while his partner...escaped? Why? -
